Scott Geller is Alumni Distinguished Professor at Virginia Tech and
Director of the Center for Applied Behavior Systems in the Department of
Psychology. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association,
the Association for Psychological Science, and the World Academy of
Productivity and Quality. He has written numerous articles and books,
including When No One's Watching: Living and Leading Self-motivation.
Scott will examine how we can become self-motivated in "The Psychology
of Self-Motivation."
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local,
self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like
experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to
spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local,
self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently
organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for
the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
