63 Days of Superstition | Tanushri Sundar | TEDxBrownU

To regain a semblance of self-control after a difficult experience in high school, Tanushri placed her future in fate’s hands—engaging in a single act of spontaneity every day in hopes that one of these actions would magically change her life for the better. By jumping headfirst into these deliberate, often ridiculous, diversions from normalcy, she developed the self-confidence to open up to her loved ones about her trauma and seek help. Tanushri Sundar is a California native. She loves being a student at Brown — working long hours in picturesque libraries, eating fries (with mayonnaise!) after midnight, and trekking across College Hill in the snow. When not typing furiously on her laptop, she is usually hiking, reading, or drinking hot tea. In the steadily-approaching future, she hopes to continue working as an Emergency Medical Technician and using her voice to empower others. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
